Uptrend in high summer temperatures

Car Collection Motorsport took three cars to the Eifel last weekend. Christopher Friedrich and Lance David Arnold started with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 of the SML CarWellness by Car Collection team in the ADAC GT Masters. Toni Wolf, on the other hand, started with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. In addition, the friends of Aust Motorsport were helped out with an Audi R8 LMS GT3. Their car was so badly damaged at the 24H of Spa that participation with the car was not yet possible.

The team from Walluf used the long summer break in the ADAC GT Masters to put the Mercedes-AMG GT3 through its paces after the last results were unsatisfactory. An upward trend was already recognized in the tests on Thursday. This was also recognizable in the two races. In the first race the team Friedrich / Arnold finished in 13th place overall. In the second race Lance David Arnold went from 31st to 24th before the pit stop. By a clever and perfect strategy at the mandatory pitstop they went on place 18. Unfortunately, a driving error forced Christopher Friedrich into a spin and he felt back to the 24th position on which he also finished the race.

In the third round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, Toni Wolf and his team again showed an excellent performance. The Porsche Carrera Cup Germany is still uncharted territory for the team. In race 1, starting from 11th, Wolf advanced to 9th and collected further important points for the championship. Race 2 he started from position 8 on which he also finished the race, in the 44 cars strong field of participants. In the overall standings, Toni Wolf is in 8th place with 36 points. Car Collection Motorsport is also ranked 8th in the team ranking. Already next weekend they will be back to the Eifel. As part of the AVD Oldtimer Grand Prix, races 7 and 8 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany take place.
